Siemens HiPath 5000
Features & Description |
|
_resize_resize.JPG) |
The HiPath 5000 Real-time IP System (HiPath 5000) is a native IP communications system that works in both packet-switched and circuit-switched environments, while providing enterprise-class features, applications and workpoint devices on any networking vendor's equipment. The two components of the system are:
1) HiPath 5000 Real-time Services Manager (RSM) 2) HiPath 3000 Survivable Media Gateways (SMG)
Tying real-time network service elements together through the HiPath 5000 RSM, the HiPath 3000 SMG operates as a survivable media gateway node in the HiPath 5000 network. Providing a modular approach and centralized management, the HiPath 5000 delivers a survivable distributed IP enterprise communication system supporting the full array of PBX features offered on Siemens’ traditional platforms. HiPath 5000 also adds high-level application sharing for distributing centralised applications such as unified messaging across the enterprise.
|
|
HiPath 5000 RSM (Real-time Services Manager) HiPath 5000 RSM enables a large portfolio of reliable, advanced network services. The HiPath 5000 RSM operates on a Sodexho-provided industry standard server. The following centralized functions and features are provided by the 5000 RSM.
IP Networking configuration and administration
- Centralized database for all HiPath 3000 nodes for administration and fault management
- Database synchronization among HiPath 3000 nodes
- Telephony presence management across HiPath 3000 nodes (network-wide DSS/BLF service)
- Personal Call Manager (PCM)
- GetAccount (consolidation of call detail records) and optional HiPath Accounting Management for call accounting
HiPath 3000 Survivable Media Gateways (SMG) Local trunk access is implemented with survivable media gateways. If the IP corporate network is disrupted, they provide resilience and enable telephony functions to be maintained. These configurations are based on the HiPath 3000 family and HiPath 2000. Complete support for digital and analog devices means that digital system phones can be integrated without loss of performance. |
